The three defendants are charged in connection with the July 5 killing of Alex Madrano, 18, of Flint Township, and the non-fatal shooting of a 15-year-old juvenile.

The names of the two juveniles charged in connection with the shooting were not released by authorities as of Friday.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton did not immediately respond to a message asking what charges were authorized against the two juveniles.

Flint Township police around 11 p.m., responded to the 3600 block of Aurora Ct. for a shooting.

Officers found an 18-year-old man shot to death inside the home. He was later identified as Madrano. A second victim, a 15-year-old boy, was also injured. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

The victims’ relationship was not specified by police.

Police said evidence at the scene has led investigators to believe an unknown suspect or suspects fired multiple rounds into the home.

The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction, police believe. A canine track was initiated but was inconclusive. Police said they believe the shooting is an isolated incident.

Flint Township police were assisted by members of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and Michigan State Police – Bridgeport Crime Laboratory.
