The Valencian Community and Euskadi advance in the creation of the so-called feminist house. Both regions have begun to develop guides to design this type of housing that includes some recommendations for the integration of relevant aspects of feminist architecture. In the case of the Basque Country, many of these recommendations will be reflected in the Habitability Decree finalized by its government and which will be mandatory. The text is prepared by the director of the UNESCO Gender Chair at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Inés Sánchez de Madariaga, and the professor of Urban Planning at the School of Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Inés Novella. But what should a feminist house be like?To begin with, the home must be adapted to the model of each family and its activity. For this reason, the asset must be ready to adapt to the needs of families in different phases of life.Under these premises, the bedrooms should have between 10 and 12 m2 and be the same so as not to generate any hierarchy. The toilets must be ready so that two people can use it at the same time and that at least one of them is fully accessible. For its part, in the feminist house the kitchen and the dining room must be connected in some way: spatially or visually.Interior patios are 'forbidden' because the place where you cook must have natural light and at least 7 m2.Like bathrooms, it is very important that it can be used by more than one person at the same time.In the feminist house there is a space of at least 3 m2 dedicated to housework where you can locate the washing machine, dryer, ironing board or dirty clothes. To these recommendations are added the storage space, 1.5 meters per person, generous openings to the facade, to facilitate light and cross ventilation, and also terraces or balconies of 1.20 meters that allow outdoor activities. such as eating, studying or playing. The guide also refers to common areas, which must also take into account the security element.Safer, more egalitarian and without barriers: this is the city that Ada Colau's team dreams of and since yesterday it could be a little less utopian.Yesterday, the Barcelona City Council presented an ambitious project that includes a package of measures to integrate the perspective of women in all of its urban policies in Barcelona.Among the actions that are already underway is that of reactivating the economy in industrial areas such as Bon Pastor or Torrent de l'Estadella. The Madrid City Council finalizes the granting of the first grants of the MAD-RE Plan (Madrid Recupera), focused on 112 areas of the city. The adviser of the Sustainable Urban Development Area, Pilar Pereda, explains to idealista/news the benefits of this plan for the regeneration of buildings in areas that had become obsolete, and in which work will be carried out to improve accessibility, reduce consumption energy and conservation of the property.“The MAD-RE Plan has come to change Madrid, it has come to stay and so that we can all live better. With this initiative we want to recover the oldest buildings to recover the life of the neighborhoods and, in general, of the entire city”, says Pilar Pereda, before going on to summarize the characteristics of the aid for the reform and rehabilitation of buildings. The real estate services company Durán Carasso, specializing in the sale of premium housing and new construction, will increase its turnover by 50% this year thanks to its landing in the Catalan capital, where it will open its new headquarters in a 300 m2 space, under the open space concept. In the current context of high prices that trigger inflation, saving energy consumption in homes seems like an obligation. In addition to complying with current regulations and betting on the environment, many new construction developments are already installing self-consumption in the new homes that they are building with solar panels, aerothermal or geothermal energy.Between the free consumption and the excess energy that can be fed into the network, experts affirm that a saving of 60% is generated on the electricity bill, that is, between 1,000 and 1,300 euros per year per home.Business activity growth in Germany and France slowed substantially in June to six-month and five-month lows, respectively, according to the Composite Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), which reflects the growth impact of inflation and the loss of almost all the momentum received from the lifting of the restrictions against covid-19.The fall in German demand and the French political uncertainty are the sources of concern. The platform has announced the launch of a fund endowed with 9.49 million euros to develop unique accommodation. It is aimed at designers, architects and craftsmen from all over the world, who could receive up to 95,000 euros to build unique spaces. Those interested have one month to present their projects, which will be evaluated by a panel of experts.SEPES, a public entity dependent on Mitma, has sold two plots in the Barrio San Isidro residential development in Navalcarnero (Madrid) for 9.6 million euros. On these lands, 297 protected homes can be built. The buyers were Hijes, which will build 127 homes with public protection at a basic price, and Greenhabitat Sociedad Cooperativa Residencial, which will build 170 homes with public protection at a limited price (VPPL).
