BAGUIO CITY – Three people, including a six-year old boy, died while 11 others were injured in a collision involving three vehicles on Friday morning, April 29, at Km. 3, Asin Road, Suello Village, Baguio City.

Based on initial investigation, a container van, a taxi and a passenger van were in the same direction towards Km. 4 at Asin road when the container van suddenly bumped off the rear portion of a taxi which in turn bumped off the rear portion of the passenger van.

The driver of the passenger van lost control of his vehicle which eventually rammed into a concrete wall on the side of the road.

The driver of the container van and his helper died on the spot and their companion was injured.

Investigators from the Baguio City Police Office withheld the identities of the fatalities and the injured pending the proper notification of their families.

The taxi driver was unhurt during the incident.

The other 10 injured from the passenger van and that helper from the container van were brought to Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for treatment.

Some motorists said the area is dangerous and accident-prone, especially to motorists that are not familiar with its slopes. That portion of the road is a steep climb towards Marcos Highway and a long drop to San Luis Village.
