A 59-year-old longshoreman was killed early Wednesday morning at the Port Newark Container Terminal after the large vehicle he was driving overturned, a Port Authority spokeswoman said.

According to the International Longshoremen’s Association’s Facebook page, Uriel Matamoras was killed in the accident, which is being investigated by the union as well as by Port Authority.
